THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!
Field day is TUESDAY. Students in specials group A and C should wear YELLOW groups B and D should wear BLUE.
COMPLETING OUR READING OF, "THE MIXED UP FILES OF MRS. BASIL E. FRANKWEILER."
THE END OF THE YEAR RESTAURANT PROJECT WILL ALSO BE DONE IN READING. STUDENTS WILL BE WRITING SPEECHES, CREATING MENUS, LOGOS, DEVELOPING MARKETING STRATEGIES, STUDYING VOCABULARY TERMS (RESTAURANT LINGO), PLANNING, ETC.
USING NARRATIVE WRITING TO DEMONSTRATE OUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN SEQUENCE OF EVENTS, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND PERSONIFICATION (CHARACTERS THAT ARE NOT HUMAN, ACTING LIKE HUMAN BEINGS).
SOCIAL STUDIES: UNIT 4: WE ARE DISCUSSING MODERN FLORIDA AND THE CULTURAL INFLUENCES THAT MAKE US WHO WE ARE. THIS ALSO LEADS INTO AND SUPPORTS OUR END OF THE YEAR RESTAURANT PROJECT. DURING THE PROJECT STUDENTS WILL BE LEARNING HOW TO CUT CHECKS AND HOW TO PROPERLY TIP! SOME VERY IMPORTANT LIFE SKILLS!
This week in math: WE ARE RUNNING OUR RESTAURANTS. Our restaurants will be run on THURSDAY.
Students should be practicing Math Multiplication facts everyday to strengthen skills.
Please have your students log on to iReady and begin Math Practice for at least 45 minutes per subject per week!
This week: This week we will be reviewing Chapter 10 and participating in some STEM activities.
Slimy Scientists Club ON TUESDAYS.
